    PMP® Certification Training Frequently Asked Questions

    I am looking for information on the next PMP® Prep - when, where, how much?

    What should I study before the PMP® Prep Course?
    You should study the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide -Fourth Edition).

    When should I plan to take the PMP® Exam?
    You should plan to take the exam approximately two months after the Prep Course ends. You may apply for the exam while attending the course. You should allow four weeks to receive approval (for online applications). After your application has been approved, you will have six months to take the exam.

    How do I qualify to take the PMP® Exam?
    Current qualification information is located on the PMI National Web site.

    PMICLG Chapter meetings, as well as classes, can earn PDUs toward the "35 Project Management Education Hours."

    Where do I go to take the PMP® exam?
    Approved Prometric Testing Centers (APTC), formerly Sylvan Technology Center, is a PMI® testing contractor for the PMP® Exam. The locations of the test centers will remain the same. PMP® candidate eligibility letters and all other certification mailings will soon be reflecting this change. In addition, candidates can also register to take the PMP® Certification Examination at an Assessment Systems, Inc. (ASI) site. Check the phonebook for local locations.
